Real Farmers, Real Family, Real Beef

Why We Started Green Hill Cattle Co.

Like most parents, Chad and Natalie Cook just wanted to feed their three daughters the best food they could find. But the more they learned about where their beef was actually coming from, the more they realized they wanted something different.

"We decided that if we couldn't find the quality we wanted for our girls, we'd raise it ourselves," Chad explains.

Today, their cattle graze on the same Missouri pastures where their daughters play, are raised without chemicals or shortcuts, and produce beef that meets the exact same standards the Cook family maintains for their own kitchen table.

It's not just about raising cattle - it's about raising food that families can trust, from a family that understands what that trust means.

Meet the Cook Family

I’m Chad Cook, and along with my wife Natalie and our three daughters, we’re building something special here on Green Hill Road in Fordland, Missouri. What started with T-posts from Facebook Marketplace and a handful of cattle has grown into a farm we’re proud of. We still live on this land, drink from the same well our cattle drink from, and hold every decision—from pasture management to processing—to the same standards we want for the beef on our own table.

Our first calf was born on my birthday last year, and watching our daughters help care for these animals reminds us daily why we started. For us, it’s not just about raising cattle—it’s about raising food we can be proud of, improving the land we call home, and providing families with beef they can trust. Thank you for considering our family farm for your family’s table. We don’t take that trust lightly.
